Digital & Social Media Marketing Coordinator


Job Description

We are currently seeking a digital and social media coordinator that can help us both support our business through digital marketing efforts as well as support our clients’ experiential marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Internal Functions

  • Maintain a social media calendar for Rubik to post across Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Write weekly blogs about the industry and our projects which will be posted on our Tumblr page
    and then socialized across other social channels
  • Write and program our monthly newsletter which will consist of industry trends and case studies
    of our work
  • Develop a SEO strategy for Rubik and our partner company, EventMates, maintaining the optimal
    word choices and a Google AdWord spend that maximizes ROI
  • Stay on top of digital trends and communicate those trends throughout the agency

External Functions

  • Work with Account Managers to develop integrated proposals for clients that incorporate digital
    and social media components
  • Lead any proposals that are solely digital in nature
  • For contracted programs - work internally with the Account Manager/Producer in developing
    impression and social sharing goals for each campaign
  • Monitor community feedback in real-time and assist with fan engagement for Clients
  • Monitor social conversation for Client
  • Distribute content for Clients across social platforms
  • Assist with curating assets and stories for social sharing
  • Work with our graphic designer to develop original assets to use for social platforms

The ideal candidate IS:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in social media marketing, preferably at an agency (candidates right out of college are welcome provided they come with internship experience
  • and a strong grasp of SEO, social channels and the industry)
  • Has used Google AdWords and understands SEO
  • Is proficient in using PowerPoint for proposals
  • Looking to work in a small/boutique agency
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • A great communicator, both verbally and in writing (humor and interest in developing original copy
    is a plus)
  • Personable and has a positive attitude
  • Motivated by results
  • Detail oriented
  • Responsible and accountable for work
  • Highly passionate about events and the industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate traditional marketing content into consumer
    relevant messaging
  • Complete proficiency with social media practices, tools and platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, Vimeo)
