Event Marketing & Sales Coordinator (Interns welcome to apply)


Job Description

We are currently seeking an event marketing & sales coordinator that can help us both support our
business through sales efforts as well as support our clients’ experiential marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Sales Functions

  • Reach out on a weekly basis to potential new corporate clients for EventMates. Lists will be provided,
    but the role will require the individual to find the appropriate contact to reach out to
  • Create pitch emails and any supporting marketing materials (one sheets, case studies, etc) to help promote EventMates
  • Set up and participate in new business calls
  • Manage the appropriate follow-up (at the direction of the Sales Manager) with the potential new client
  • Maintain a list of ongoing corporate events with strong prospect lists (i.e. CES, MWC, SXSW, AdWeek, etc)
  • Work with the digital marketing coordinator on optimizing Google AdWords and SEO to help with
    sales efforts
  • Understand free opportunities to get listed as a vendor and pursue

Event Marketing Functions

  • Work with Account Managers to develop integrated proposals for clients
  • Lead any proposals that come through direct sales efforts
  • As needed assist Account Managers and Producers with event marketing functions which could include venue scouting, vendor prospecting (furniture sourcing, catering scouting, etc)
  • Work with our graphic designer to develop any mock-ups for proposals

The ideal candidate IS:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience (candidates right out of college are welcome provided they come with internship experience and have strong communication skills)
  • Is proficient in using PowerPoint for proposals
  • Looking to work in a small/boutique agency
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • A great communicator, both verbally and in writing (humor and interest in developing original copy is
    a plus)
  • Personable and has a positive attitude
  • Motivated by results
  • Detail oriented
  • Responsible and accountable for work
  • Highly passionate about events and the industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate traditional marketing content into consumer
    relevant messaging
